Stakeholder engagement and partnership working

Stakeholder engagement and partnerships can be critical to many projects’ success. You need active and supporting interventions from a wide range of local and national organisations and agencies to overcome resistance and make your project make the journey from planning to implementation.

A well informed and supported range of project stakeholders can help to overcome concerns, align objectives and accelerate progress. Our experienced team can help to manage these relationships.

As part of our comprehensive service suite, we can help you to:

  • Identify and create partnerships that can get a project off the ground
  • Manage community and external stakeholder relationships
  • Administer and coordinate appropriate forums and groups
  • Manage consultation and community partnership working
  • Develop delivery mechanisms

If you would like to find out more about how we can help you to better manage your project stakeholders and build positive partnerships, please contact emilie.wadsworth@greenactiontrust.org

Community empowerment

Community is at the heart of effective placemaking and environmental improvements. Effective environmental improvements help to deliver a healthy, happy and sustainable community.

We can provide comprehensive support for communities, from helping them to realise their aspirations to finding grant funding and facilitating their own developments. We work to empower local groups, provide them with the knowledge and skills, and the confidence to engage with other local potential project partners and realise their aspirations. We support them to take positive action locally.

We also work with partners to effectively engage communities, make sure that their views are considered, and reflected, in the projects that they bring forward.

Our support can involve:

  • Community consultation
  • Direct support for community organisations
  • Skill sharing and empowerment
  • Project planning
  • Project management

Project development and resourcing

Far too many great ideas to regenerate local environments fail through an absence of support interventions at key points in the development process, and a failure to exploit existing funding opportunities or develop new ones. We have significant experience in project development and resourcing.

  • Bringing together community groups, local authorities and government bodies
  • Advice and assistance to partners
  • Project feasibility and design
  • Stakeholder engagement and consultation management to inform feasibility plans
  • Site survey work including drone flying and photography
  • Development of long term management and maintenance plans
  • Project fundraising
  • Securing appropriate permissions and consents
  • Project management at all development stages
