Louisa Maddison

Development Officer

Louisa joined the Green Action Trust in Spring 2022. She comes from a background in nature conservation as a Countryside Ranger, with experience in environmental education, volunteer engagement and practical ecology. She has also worked as a Biodiversity Officer, delivering strategic projects and partnerships, as well as writing strategy, monitoring and reporting.

Louisa holds a BSc (Hons) in Ecology (Conservation and Ecological Management), is an associate member of CIEEM and involved with various organisations focusing on biological recording and citizen science.

As a Development Officer, Louisa works with external partners to turn ideas on greenspace and land management into tangible projects including running consultations, working with various stakeholders, applying for funding, and working with colleagues to deliver on the ground work. She is also a field ecologist for the Trust, carrying out various site surveys and ensuring species/habitat protection. Louisa is especially interested in insects and likes nothing better than being asked to identify wildlife sightings.
