We’re delighted that we have two new Co-Chairs of our Board, Heather Claridge and Angus Bodie.
Heather and Angus both joined Green Action Trust as Trustees in spring 2022 and were appointed co-chairs in summer 2025. With a strong shared vision, extensive professional experience and a deep understanding of the organisation, they are ready to help guide Green Action Trust into its next phase.
Heather is Strategic Spatial Planning Group Manager for Glasgow City Region where she shapes place policy and facilitates environmental regeneration. She has extensive experience of urban planning and facilitating large-scale environmental regeneration.

Angus is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and Associate Consultant of SOLACE (the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives) and was the lead on the Scottish Roads Collaboration Programme. He is committed to maximising opportunities for green infrastructure.
Collaborative working
Heather says, “It’s been inspiring to be part of GAT’s journey so far. This new role is a chance to help shape where we go next. The Trust is already doing a great job of turning national policy into real change on the ground. We want to build on that—especially around climate, nature, and the preventative health agenda.”
Angus says, “After more than three years as a trustee, I’ve seen Green Action Trust grow in ambition and impact. A priority for me is strengthening partnerships. The challenges we face are interconnected, and we’ll only tackle them by working together across sectors.”
Heather adds, “Having two co-chairs reflects how GAT works—collaboratively, and with shared leadership at its heart.”
