Forester

FULL-TIME; £31,500-£36,750 per annum

We are pleased to be recruiting for a Forester into our organisation. The Forester role involves being responsible for undertaking the design of new woodlands, management planning of existing woodlands, project contract management, production of tender documents, tendering the project, and contractor oversight. Our Foresters work in a variety of locations, including urban centres and remote areas.

In this role, you will help us meet our objectives, the expectations of our partners and to play our part in responding to the twin crises of climate change and biodiversity loss.

Development Officer

FULL-TIME; £26,250 – £36,750 per annum

Our Development Officers lead on the development and implementation of projects and programmes that help realise the Trust’s vision and ambition. These projects and programmes relate to: climate change and adaptation; green infrastructure; biodiversity; net zero; and the green recovery.

In this role, you will work with a wide range of stakeholders and manage the relevant phases of each project from early scoping and securing funding, through the consultation phase, to the final design and beyond.

Charity Trustees (up to three vacancies)

1-2 DAYS PER MONTH, VOLUNTARY

We are an ambitious organisation with a great opportunity to assist Scotland with its climate change challenges. We have embarked on an important process of change, which includes adding new members to our Board, broadening our skill set so that we can provide the Trust will the leadership it needs.

As a member of our Board of charity Trustees, your focus will be to assist us strategically, applying your specific skills and experience to ensure we meet all our commitments. It would be helpful if you have previous Board experience although this is not essential. We respect that your time will be limited, and so we want to be clear about our expectations. If you can commit 1-2 days per month, this will more than meet our current requirements.

In particular, we are looking to meet candidates who have a background in one or more of the following areas: financial management, environment/ecology, environmental or corporate law, and experience at a senior level in government, civil service or a local authority.

Interim Director of Strategy

FULL TIME, 6-month contract; £60,000 PER ANNUM

As we navigate a transitional period, we are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as the Interim Director of Strategy. This role is crucial to maintaining and enhancing our strategic initiatives during this temporary period of change.

The Interim Director of Strategy will assume a key leadership role to ensure continuity and progression in the company’s strategic objectives. This individual will be responsible for leading the strategy team, collaborating with cross-functional departments, and maintaining a focus on driving the Trust’s success during the interim period.
