We are delighted to share the news that Green Action Trust has been awarded funding from the Scottish Government’s Nature Restoration Fund for the development and design of the Leven River Parks Nature Network.

This exciting project will see a series of nature-based solutions developed along the new Leven Connectivity Project active travel routes, helping to:

  • Provide stepping-stone habitats for wildlife
  • Manage surface-water run-off
  • Increase biodiversity along the new Leven Project active travel routes
  • Engage communities within the Leven Project area
  • Contribute to creating a multifunctional blue-green network

We are now contacting landscape and environmental practices who we think may be a good fit for the scope of work involved, which includes environmental survey, concept design, community engagement, and development of detailed design and costing. We expect this to be a truly multifunctional project, which will draw upon the expertise of landscape architects, ecologists, hydrologists, quantity surveyors, and engineers.

For more information about the Leven Programme and our role in it, visit our Leven Programme page.

If you would like your practice to be included and issued a brief, please contact us at [email protected].

We will be sending out invitations to tender prior to the festive break, with return for the 17th January.

Our anticipated project timescale runs from late January to the end of April 2023.
