Ben joined the Board in 2020. Currently the Director of The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) in Scotland, Ben’s career to date has been mainly in economic development, supporting the built environment. This includes several years with Scottish Enterprise as Construction Sector Manager, a senior role establishing the Construction Scotland Innovation Centre, and three years in consultancy.

Ben is also a member of the management committee of Castlehill Housing Association covering Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire & Moray and a Director of their commercial subsidiary. He is also a previous Chair of a small Fife-based charity that supports the personal development and employability of young people through a focus on STEM and motor racing.
