Carol joined the Green Action Trust in 2025, having worked in the environmental sector in Scotland and abroad for over 30 years. Carol previously worked as the Executive Director of the EUROPARC Federation, the representative body for Europe’s Protected Areas, as well as a Regional Park Manager for the Pentland Hills Regional Park and a Senior Countryside Manager in Edinburgh.

Carol holds a BSc (Jt Hons) in Geography and Biology from the University of Strathclyde and a MSc in Ecology from the University of Aberdeen.

In her role as Programme Manager, Carol leads on the development of the Central Scotland Green Network.
