Gillian joined Green Action Trust in 2007 as Development Officer, working across central Scotland to develop and deliver on environmental regeneration projects that helped to meet the ambitions of the Central Scotland Forest and latterly the CSGN. Much of her work at the Trust, and previously with the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park Authority, has focussed on community-led regeneration, supporting communities to own, develop and manage greenspace to deliver multiple benefits for both people and nature.

In 2023, as Development Manager for the Clyde Climate Forest, Gillian was part of the partnership team working on this regional tree planting initiative, with responsibility for the strategic development and delivery of the programme.

As Head of Programme Management, Gillian now works with colleagues in GAT to develop and deliver strategic programmes of work including the Leven River Park Programme and Leven River Park Routes.

Gillian holds a BA Hons in Geography and MSc in Ecological Design.
