Joanne Glennie

Principal Landscape Architect

Jo joined the Green Action Trust early in 2024 as Principal Landscape Architect. Jo is a Chartered Landscape Architect with over 30 years’ experience, mainly in a local authority setting, developing and delivering landscape projects.  These have included community greenspace development, active travel programmes, sustainable drainage solutions and biodiversity planting projects.

Jo started out with a degree in Horticulture from Wye College and gained a Masters in Landscape Design from Newcastle University. She has been a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute since 2001.

With her practical background, Jo is dedicated to the production of valued and beautiful places that deliver multiple benefits to as many as possible. Jo brings a clear focus on climate adaptation, flood resilience, biodiversity and greenspace for long term sustainability.
