About

Louisa Maddison

Head of Operations

Louisa joined the Green Action Trust in Spring 2022, originally as a Development Officer and then as Head of Operations. She leads the Operations team on project and programme development, working with a wide range of clients and stakeholders to turn ideas on greenspace and land management into tangible projects. This includes running consultations, working with various stakeholders, winning funding, and working with colleagues to deliver work on the ground, across the CSGN and further afield.

Louisa holds a BSc (Hons) in Ecology (Conservation and Ecological Management), is an associate member of CIEEM and is involved with various organisations focusing on biological recording and citizen science. She comes from a background in nature conservation as a Countryside Ranger, with experience in environmental education, volunteer engagement and practical ecology. She has also worked as a Biodiversity Officer, delivering strategic projects and partnerships, as well as writing strategy, monitoring and reporting. Louisa leads on ecology and biodiversity for the Trust, ensuring species/habitat protection. Louisa is especially interested in insects and likes nothing better than being asked to identify wildlife.
