About
Rona started working for the Green Action Trust in 2024. Previously she had worked for 18 years in the publishing industry, initially spending time in London working in comics and graphic novels, before returning to Scotland where she moved into freelance communications and local press.
In 2022 she decided to change course and began following her passion for the natural world through a distance learning course with the SRUC. From here she developed a passion for Woodland Management and secured a position as an Engagement Co-ordinator working with large estates such as Dumfries House Estate, Ardgowan Estate and Duchal Estate. Rona also worked as a volunteer with various conservation-based organisations including Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park Rangers, The Butterfly Conservation Trust and Eadha Enterprises.
As an Assistant Woodland Officer for the Green Action Trust, she supports the Head Forester in the delivery of a wide range of forestry and woodland based projects and schemes.
Rona holds a MA in English Language and Literature, a MLitt in Publishing and a PG Dip in Wildlife and Conservation Management.
