Interim Chief Operating Officer

Tom has worked at CEO level in a number of organisations, including the UK’s second largest Business Improvement District, Essential Edinburgh, North Lanarkshire Council’s regeneration company, Fusion Assets and Lennoxtown Initiative, a partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde which was a £7
million regeneration project. He also served as CEO and lead director for the Kirkintilloch Initiative, a £60 million pound regeneration project and was Head of Property for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde during which time, Tom managed land disposals with development values in excess of £600 million.
As a result he was asked to Chair the NHS in Scotland’s review of the revaluation its £2.7 billion property estate.

Tom created, developed and implemented the North Coast 500, which is widely recognised as the number one touring route in the world and in the past 7 years has become a global brand with an audience reach of over 11.2 billion in 2020 and a social media reach of 23 million and transformed the local economy. He also advises on tourism product creation and branding in the UK and internationally. Key to these tourism initiatives has been the creation of products that impact positively on the visitor, the businesses and the community which will lead to sustainability and growth for the rural economy
and environment.

Tom has extensive experience in business planning, option appraisal, feasibility studies and master-planning and is an associate consultant with a leading advisory consultancy, Alan Jones Associates.
