At this stage, we look at practical considerations such as planning consents, access, drainage, and the local ecosystem.  

We will typically conduct aerial and ecological surveys and build a GIS dataset to analyse the site and generate plans and maps.

This information feeds into the feasibility study for the proposed project.

Capturing and representing the needs of local communities and other stakeholders is essential to the success of every project.

We organise, promote and run in-person and online community engagement activities to ensure local voices are heard throughout the planning phase, before designs are finalised.

Our connections across sectors also mean we can consult with organisations such as public agencies, landowners and local authorities, to include their requirements and build cooperation.

Building on all the previous phases, this is where we bring the concept together into a detailed design.

From partnership-level programme masterplanning down to individual project sites, our design team will collate all the necessary information to turn a proposal into a design concept.

Working together with stakeholders, this concept design will be refined to ensure the final plans are aligned with budgets, partner and community requirements and any site constraints, such as previous land use or existing wildlife habitats.

Having overseen all the planning phases of the project, here we see it through to completion. We project manage all elements in your project, including the procurement processes at all stages.

Where we need to bring in specialist support, from construction companies to consultants, we manage the full process from tendering to contract documentation, overseeing works and managing payments.

We will also manage grants, holding funds and reporting to funders where additional funding has been secured.

While this stage appears at the end of the process, planning monitoring frameworks up front is key to evaluating the success of your project.

Having the data to evaluate outcomes is particularly important when planning further activity and seeking to demonstrate the impact of your project to funders and other stakeholders.
