In detail

Our project delivery services

We offer a range of services to help you deliver your environmental project or programme.

Project Management Services

We act on behalf of our clients to plan, manage and co-ordinate projects effectively from inception to completion.

This includes managing complex, technical programmes of work, ensuring all inputs and outputs are technically complete and transparent to achieve each project’s objectives.

We have systems in place to communicate information and updates on progress to all parties, including clients, funders and community groups, as needed.

Contract Management Services

When it comes to managing the delivery of complex works, where needed, we bring in and manage contractors.

We only work with suppliers who can demonstrate sound working practices, good understanding of the brief, and have proven track record delivering high quality work.

We then manage each contract from creation through execution to completion. We will manage project budgets effectively and undertake performance analysis against contract terms. Finally, we monitor and evaluate contract outcomes to ensure delivery against objectives and to identify and mitigate risk.

If you need support with contract management, please get in touch with our team.

Grant administration & Management

Our work on funding projects doesn’t stop with grant applications. We can hold funds on behalf of a project, programme or partnership and undertake all the grant administration and reporting to funders.

For example, we administer Scottish Government and private sector grants to communities, voluntary organisations and schools.

Over the past decade we have administered nearly £8 million in grants, including the Growing Food Together Fund and Tesco Bags for Life.

Tendering & Procurement Services

We can manage the selection, appointment and management of external service providers as part of any project delivery.

As registered Public Contracts Scotland suppliers and buyers, we have an intimate understanding of the processes and procedures required to appoint consultants to undertake public sector contracts.

We offer our clients robust and transparent in-house tendering procurement services. Often this can help to speed up the delivery of key components of works within major programmes, helping to keep projects on track and within budget.

Benefits

Why commission Green Action Trust

Four decades of experience goes a long way, but it’s not just about how many years we’ve been operating. Commissioning or partnering with us means tapping into our ability to add value to projects, literally by accessing funding, but also by taking a holistic view of long-term environmental and planning policy and best practice.

We look at the bigger picture, not only by offering a complete solution from inception to delivery, but by taking a holistic approach to delivering interconnected outcomes. You can also rely on our insight and advice on national policy, frameworks and targets.

Leverage Funding

Our intricate knowledge of funding streams means we routinely multiply the value of projects. Alongside leveraging our involvement in national programmes, this allows us to deliver more outcomes for clients, without increasing their own budget.
